So John Hargreves went on a 10 year personal crusade to ban fireworks in the ACT because his moggy (regrettably) had a few crackers strapped to it by a couple of braindead juvenile delinquents.

However, in a spectacular display of hypocrisy, his party is in cahoots with the Liberals to vote down a Greens bill which aims to ban cage-egg farming in the ACT.

Clearly Hargreves is suffering from what I like to call ‘beady-eye syndome’: adorable, doe- eyed creatures like dogs/cats/cows/Bambi must be protected and treated well by any means possible (AND SAVED FROM THE HORRORS OF LOUD NOISES ONCE A YEAR), but the tens of thousands of chickens living their entire lives in squalid cages no bigger than an A4 piece of paper across Canberra are no problem at all!

So in short:
